"We all begin and end our journeys in the same way, but it is how we fill the middle of our lives that shapes who we are as individuals, and what our lives become. We take chances, make mistakes, take on new adventures, make memories. We make choices, and they shape our existence here." ~ Alexa von der EmbseIn the Spring of 2011, I made a life-changing choice. I decided to give up my job, steady income, and volunteer for a year at Love and Hope Children's Home in El Salvador. I used this blog to share the ups and downs, adventures and experiences that defined my time in El Salvador and shaped my life for years to come.
Now that I am back in the U.S., I hope to continue using If You Want Me To... to chronicle how I attempt to integrate who I was with who I've become, and to continue making a positive difference in the world, seeking God's Will in my life and inspiring others to do the same.
I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it. God Bless!
